Last weekend, four of us enjoyed a fine lunch at this popular restaurant. Despite being booked out (we got our seats after being on standby) we could not fault the friendly service. We began our share plates with a bowl of wide-fired olives, two serves...of flatbread, hummus and an excellent duck parfait. The warm olives were quite hot to start with but were a new and enjoyable experience. The hummus was tremendous value and very tasty while the duck parfait with a cider jelly was the outstanding dish of the day. For mains we shared 3 plates. first visit in manuka, and what a miraculous place this little jewel is. our table of 3 ordered the 'special' tasting menu that had only one meat dish, but recently a vegan I was ready to go with a pizza, usual option to most places if you were happy. Not so here. they went away to discuss with chef how they could take up my vegan needs in the tasting menu and young did them proud themselves. it was one of the best meal times I had 've had time. the star of the show was the baked baby fennel, so delicious I had to pick it up and suck on them like one. stylish and cozy restaurant. the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable on what is and can be made vegan. Although I wish they had simply marked it in the menu, it was nice to have such a pleasant conversation about which we could eat. I had a rhubarb collins that was refreshing and nicely drunk. the part, we had a plate of baba ganoush with this amaaaazing brot. I could have eaten all night. then we shared the seasonal vegan pizza that had cartoffels, green olives, spinach, green paprika, asparagus and some zesty/spicy green sauce. it was lovely. our waitress informed us that we could also be made a dessert vegan, but we were too full. Maybe I'll be back next time.
we had the Sharing plates and definitiw ordered 1 to many as they were all really significant in size. the Turkish brot with bone mark butter was different and delicious. the broccoli court was massive and the bark cheeks melt in your mouth and the root. with feta rocked my world. left absolutely full. the staff was super friendly and made eating fast as we hold back on a time.

Great service, a little bit fancy, and I love how accomodating they are! Vegan pizzas aren't on the menu, but they'll happily whip one up for you! We once ordered 2, both were different and so yum. Occasionally they have other really great things on their menu. Within reason are able to veganize a lot of the menu items.
the menu offered pleasant variety: we started with flatbread and fattya/honneycombe/macadamia, followed by delicious garnelen sans chili ad huhn, finishing by sharing once the most beautiful pannacottas I can remember. small venue, warm ambiente and a great, warm service from a series of employees.
her menu therefore has no vegan options, but all they need to do is ask and the amazing staff will help them. they made us a wonderful seasonal veg pizza and some roasted kartoffels. realllllyyyy good!
fremantles best restaurant, hands down. inventive, beautifully prepared meals, friendly service, and although not cheap, great worth. good wine list, delicious food. better book: it's pretty busy!

Today was not the best food I had here, but it was still good. Welcome is always great, wein is super, and although it is not cheap (for 2 with 5 glasses wein was $115) it is still good worth.
