We made an online reservation and informed them that it was for our anniversary dinner. Unfortunately, we were seated in the bar area on a long bench with tables very close together. The clams on the half shell were fantastic. However, our salads arrived incorrectly, and before we could finish them, our entrees were served. Although the food was tasty, it would have been nice to have some time to enjoy our salads and clear the plates away before our main courses. Overall, we left feeling somewhat disappointed with our anniversary dinner.
Sat in the bar area. Seemed like everyone knew one another Slow to get first drink but all move smoothly thereafter Appetizers were excellent- lump crab meat cocktails with tasty sauce. Ceasar salads crisp and fresh The entrees were mixed with 2 broiled salmon on the dry side. Nice large portions One creamy sea food au gratin was very rich and filling while the fried scallops were perfect, sweet tender and juicy
Very bad experience today over an hour from time ordered food til it arrived. Was told kitchen was backed up which does happen but everyone else around use was served timely. Believe the waiter never put in the order. He was very inattentive. We have been regulars and have been going there for years. After tonight will have to reevaluate going there. Additionally one of our meals was not what was ordered.
The food is divine...I ordered broiled scallops--they're perfect EVERY time I have ever had them here! Today was the first time I had the Chesapeake clam chowder, flavorful and very tasty. My Husband had the crab cakes--always his favorite, and the Marblehead did not disappoint. Our waiter, D., was also wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a nicer time out.

The food for my wife and myself is always done to perfection. The service is outstanding. They time everything that they bring to the table with care. The men and women that wait on our table are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to visit with you. We have been a customer for 15 years and are looking forward to many more. Our favorite restaurant!
Our meals were wonderful, and the service was excellent. Our waitress was just the right amount of attentive and friendly. The restaurant was packed so it was a nice surprise to see our order arrive quickly. Already looking forward to our next dinner there!
The food was disappointing and felt more like diner fare, especially considering the higher prices. The baked potato seemed old in appearance and taste. The stuffed shrimp was drenched in a sauce that resembled Lipton's chicken broth.
Certainly one of our favorite restaurants for both quality food and service. With the Memorial Day specials the restaurant was VERY busy and our server, Tina, was slammed . She did a great job for as busy as she was with her tables.

My favorite restaurant is one that leaves me feeling great when I leave, and my experience today at Marblehead was truly special in every way. I walked away feeling fantastic... and also quite sober, as I was the designated driver!
Great staff and the scallops were amazing. Recieved a dozen that were the size of a silver dollar each. Sweet and tender. The best!
