The Pequot Museum Cafe offers a delightful dining experience while exploring the rich history of the Mashantucket Pequot civilization, from its prehistoric roots to the present day. The museum showcases how nature influenced the culture, highlighting the availability of various resources over time. Visitors can view authentic artifacts connected to the civilization and enjoy an interactive model of the Mashantucket Valley, showcasing both current and anticipated developments. There's even an exhibit related to the nearby gaming industry, which has significantly contributed to funding this impressive museum. Be sure to check out the cafe's menu, which complements the enlightening experience o...

This museum is really beautiful. I drove up from Brooklyn, NY and it was worth the drive. They really made a huge effort to reproduce everything in the museum as life like as possible. The reproduced village is the highlight with scenes representing the different aspects of their life. You definitely need to take the tour as they exclaim everything there. Tip: Call ahead and find out what times they are. I will be back another time for the pow wow and to explore more. Suggestion to the folks living on the reserve: it would be a very nice for visitors to be able to experience the food and culture as well.

I visited Pequot Museum Cafe on a Wednesday, and it was nearly empty, which allowed me to fully appreciate all the exhibits and the fascinating history just around the corner. The displays vividly depicted life from the past, taking me back to my childhood memories of visiting. However, there were a couple of downsides: the observation tower was closed, the escalator to the glacier exhibits was out of service, and the gift shop didn't have the replica wampum I remembered. These issues slightly diminished the experience for me.

This past weekend my Sorority Sisters and I had a wonderful cultural experience at this Museum. Our Tour Guide Josh was AMAZING! The passion he displayed telling us about the Pequot Tribe and what they mean/meant to the region was infectious. We all left there with a better appreciation for Foxwoods Resort Casino. I know he loves his job! If you are planning to go to Foxwoods Resort Casino, this Museum is a MUST and ask for Josh! Book a table now

We started our 21 year reunion by touring this museum with Josh as our guide. It was the perfect kickoff to an amazing weekend. We learned about the Peqout tribe and culture which gave us a great appreciation for our travel destination. Josh gave the tour with extreme passion, professionalism and hospitality! #FinallyLegalAndReadyToMingle #FoxwoodsResortAndCasino

Really enjoyed this museum! Larger than I was anticipating and so much detail! I enjoyed learning about this tribe. I think more people should come to see the amazing facility that has been built here. Also, I think people would be shocked if they also knew (or read in that small area) how much this tribe does give back to others. Thank you for sharing!

Excellent museum! Very accessible for wheelchairs and/or strollers. Large exibits. We spent about three and a half hours going through everything. There is a reason this museum is referenced in many New England Must Visit lists, and it is certainly worth the stop. Walking through the village was an amazing experience!
