I called the restaurant and inquired if I could come in tomorrow since they were closing in less than 30 minutes, hoping for a refund or store credit for another time. The manager offered for me to come in the next morning for a remake. However, I declined, as I couldn't bring myself to eat a sandwich after seeing the raw meat, plus I didn't want it for breakfast at 10:30 AM.
I also mentioned the unusual green tint to the meat, and the manager suggested it might be due to avocado contamination from a knife they used, explaining that it was a possibility because they used the same knife. Last week was my first visit of this McAlister's. The store was just opening and I was the only one in the restaurant. I placed a double order to go and sat down to wait. Several employees came by and spoke to me... one asking if I needed anything. A young lady by the name of Lou, I believe, came over and asked if I would like a drink while I waited. I said yes and she asked if I would like a cookie as well. She was extremely professional and friendly. I don't know if she was on the management team or not. If she wasn't, she certainly ought to be!The food was fresh and delicious! I highly recommend the McAlister's deli in West Monroe, Louisiana!
First off, the atmosphere is actually nice, but I didn 't want to give a higher rating because the food and service were sooooo not worth the overpricing. MAJORLY overpriced. Lemonade are tasteless, just sugar water. Food was blarely edible. That 's all. Will never go to McAllister again. Also, chicken tortilla soup is yellow goo, not chicken and green onion, and that 's it, like the server described. What a waste of money. I 'm a HUGE tipper, but the absolute can 't be bothered attitude of the server had me wanting to stiff someone for the first time.
The Spud Max was delicious and packed with flavor. It could have been even better had they included the butter and sour cream I requested! However, the salad was quite disappointing; it consisted of soggy iceberg lettuce with brown edges, no croutons, and just a few slices of cucumber. There was absolutely nothing in that salad worth the $8 price tag. I had planned to eat it for lunch the next day, but it was inedible. Additionally, they forgot to include a straw with the iced tea. I've never experienced such a letdown at McAlister's before.

The chef salad was quite disappointing. I won’t be ordering it again. It seemed haphazardly assembled, with large chunks of meat that weren't properly cut. There were no cucumbers, and the tomatoes were soggy, giving it an unpleasant taste. On a positive note, the New Yorker was excellent.
I ordered a sweet smoky BBQ sandwich last night, but it was disappointing to find that the meat still had the deli paper on it! Given the amount we paid for everyone's meals, I expected better quality.
I wish they would add more tomatoes and meat to the chef salad and use less greens. It would also be great to have boiled eggs included in the salad.

The chicken ceasar salad had a seafood flavor to it. I think it turned bad.
They always forget my pickle. The food is always hot and fresh though!
