My husband and I visited Mcl And Bakery for the first time today. I ordered chicken and noodles, mac and cheese, and broccoli casserole, while my husband went with fried chicken, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. We also indulged in some pie for dessert. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fantastic. The staff was friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the large dining area feel inviting. We’ll definitely be returning to this wonderful spot many times. The prices were very reasonable given the quality and quantity of food—great value compared to what we'd get at McDonald's.
First, the staff was outstanding. However, the food did not meet expectations. We visited on a Saturday at 6:00 PM, and most of the dishes appeared to have been sitting out for hours. I chose the fried chicken since it seemed the freshest, but it was quite bland. My recommendation is to prepare smaller batches more frequently to ensure better quality.
I usually dislike leaving negative reviews, but I can no longer recommend Mcl And Bakery. My group ordered three different entrees, and each dish looked like something you'd find in a school cafeteria. This has happened more than once, so it doesn't seem like a one-time issue. Additionally, the prices no longer seem reasonable.
