My mom loves the fried chicken and fresh fruit and pies. The people behind the counter were very patient while I read out all of her side dish options twice and was not trying to be rude but was on my cell phone they were all so sweet. My father passed away two weeks ago and I wanted to make sure she had a balanced meal she would actually eat because he was her world and later this month they would have been married 50 years. Thank you for your patience and allowing her to pick what she wanted. I felt embarrassed for being on my phone but everyone was caring and never made me feel bad about it I didn't even tell them they were just amazing without having to. I placed an order for a special menu item for Valentine's Day. I chose the main dish, and it was reasonably priced compared to other restaurants, while still being of high quality. When I arrived, my food was ready and remained warm when I got home. As always, it was delicious. The only downside was that I felt the portion sizes for the sides were smaller than if I had dined in the restaurant.
No joke my chicken was raw. I ordered my food to go. I ordered the stuffed chicken and chocolate cake. I made sides at home. I ended up eating my sides and cake. Lol. The cake was perfect. My family and I have been enjoying meals here for years. Although the prices have increased—like they have everywhere—I still think it’s a great value, and the food tastes just like comforting homemade cooking! Seeing the lemon supreme cake on the counter and Joanie’s warm smile behind it always brightens my day. She truly is an angel!

The food was delicious. In a good way, it has a classic, old-school vibe that seems to appeal to an older crowd. The pumpkin pie cheesecake was fantastic, and my mother really enjoyed the fried catfish.
