The quality of the food can be hit or miss. We tried three appetizers, which were decent but not outstanding. The Green Papaya Salad had fresh vegetables but overcooked shrimp. The Duck Bao Bun was soft with well-cooked duck, though lacking in flavor. The Mekong Roll with BBQ shrimp had fresh ingredients but needed more meat and veggies for better taste. My husband and I drove from NYC to eat at Mekong District at Nyack and the food surpassed all of our expectations! We are big fans of Vietnamese food and this place now ranks at the top of our go to places even if it’s a bit of drive. Pho with oxtail was delicious, especially the broth ... the kind of broth you want to slurp from the bowl or bring back home just to slurp later! Great Vietnamese pho with several grilled choices and appetizers. It's a small venue and takes reservations only for groups of 5+. The food is authentic and tasty. The atmosphere is bare-bones and the service adequate, but not especially friendly, (but not unfriendly). If you're going for the authentic food, you'll be pleased. The rest is just okay.
The service was fantastic, quick, and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious, with amazing textures and flavors. The hostess was attentive, friendly, and always had a smile on her face. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. Our entire family had a wonderful evening and enjoyed a great meal.

This restaurant was terrible. I ordered a pork belly sandwich but received a veggie sandwich with a small amount of pork as garnish. The food did not taste good at all. I wasted my money and it ruined my day. Overall, I would rate the food 1 out of 5.

They make a really good pho soup. I was put on to pho soup for the first time when I visited New Orleans. Then I tried their pho soup. It automatically reminded me of when I first tried it back in New Orleans. Thanks Mekong District.Food: 5/5
This is a restaurant you'll want to visit if you're in the area. The restaurant is clean, staff are quick, and the food is delicious. Flavors are very good and portions are more than sufficient. Recommend!

Size was great and the beef was so good. Service could be better. Edit: I went back to give it another shot. Not only was service worse.. they made the beef a lot thinner.
