As always, the food is great and exactly what you expect at the melting pot. However, every trip we make to this restaurant starts off on a difficult note with the hostess. No matter how close you are to your reservation time, no matter how many empty tables they have, you always have to wait at least 10 minutes for them to finish their conversation, tidy up their papers, and finally get around to seating you. We thought that perhaps we were having one off experiences, but this has happened for the last three visits. Different times of day, different hosts hostesses. We have been Melting Pot fans for years. We went for the first time right after getting married in 2014 and have made it a special night once (rarely, twice) a year. We’ve been in Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Gatlinburg, Columbus, and more. The food is still good, but we really go for the experience. The experience in general has really lost its magic. The few different restaurants we have been to over the past few years have remodeled and feel more like an Applebees. The prices have gone up from around $40 a person to $60 each while nothing has really improved to reflect the prices. Nicky A was our server, He was really good he explained the menu to us, made sure we were always good! He made the night and experience amazing!! 10/10 He asked what our occasion was and made a cute plate of our date!
The 1/2 round table seat end fell off. The seat cushion was very soft. I'm a 100% disabled veteran and had to get assistance to get up. The food was good. Our server (Brandon) was excellent.
