My husband and I recently dined at this restaurant, and we had a wonderful experience! The parking lot was full, and the restaurant was bustling with customers. The staff was incredibly attentive. We were greeted and seated right away, and our drinks were served in under a minute after we placed our order! My husband enjoyed the Grand Torino, which he absolutely loved, while I had the pork chops, and they were fantastic! Our food arrived quickly and was served piping hot. Be sure to leave some space for their strawberry pie—it’s a must-try! If you're seeking a delicious meal paired with excellent service, this is the place to be!
The MGR has been a staple in the Evansville dining scene for nearly 70 years, and I've been a patron for over 40 of those years. They offer the best food and exceptional value for your money. I even worked at the Merry Go Round from my teenage years into my early twenties. The former owner, Virgil Syerup, along with the current owner, Eric Raeber, taught me the importance of taking pride in my work. I owe a great deal to Mr. Raeber; his meticulous attention to detail showed me what it takes to succeed in life. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. I really appreciate you, buddy!
My husband and I ordered takeout for dinner tonight. He had two pan-fried pork chops with a baked potato and green bean salad, while I enjoyed six fried jumbo shrimp with a baked potato and coleslaw. Both meals were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! We also picked up a chocolate cream layer pie, but we're too full to enjoy it right now. The waitress who assisted me was incredibly kind, helping to carry all our food to the car. We absolutely love this place!
It is always a special time at the Merry Go Round Restaurant. I have so many wonderful memories there and now have new ones. Loved the beautiful wooden horses and special Christmas display.
