We arrived at the restaurant at and the door was open, we entered only to be told in a rude way by Ellea (not sure if that is her correct spelling) to stand and wait outside for minutes. I asked if she was...joking right, a man behind the counter advised us to sit down. Some of the staff were excellent one Tiana in particular. The food well it left me wondering if Ellea has said something to the chef as my dinner of Chicken had two small bite size pieces of chicken in it and mostly sauce, my friends nachos was a plate of cc's and cheese the size of your palm, yep that is it, photo is attached... I’ve been here twice, almost exactly a year apart. I like the look of the place but the food is mostly Tex Mex not really Mexican and i would eat here more often if it were more authentic Mexican. Anyway, on both visits i ordered...the jackfruit tacos which are vegan. I liked them both times but the serving size is small. So i added two lots if dips guacamole and salsa with both came with vegan corn chips. My friend ordered vegetable nachos with vegan cheese. She said she enjoyed it. This is a very busy restaurant. We tried a range of foods and nearly all were very nice. The salsa with the corn chips pre dinner was bland though. It was missing all the spices one would expect. We shared a Fishbowl margarita. These are...huge, and if they were full of alcohol like normal, you would not be able to drive home. However, there was almost no alcohol in it. Well, my wife and I couldn't feel it. Lovely character in a beautiful part of Fremantle. We enjoyed the meal very much, but next time will ask for a little more Mexican spice ooomph in the food. The beef and chicken fajita's were superb by the way. So yum.
Booked a table for and sat downstairs. Atmosphere and decor were great and staff were helpful and friendly. Good range of drinks. The food, however, was very disappointing. Steak fajitas meat was tough and bland, was not served sizzling (arrived cold) and was overall...unappealing. Not value for the price. Like other reviewers, the highlight was the Jalepeno Poppers for entree. Combination dips were okay. Expensive evening which left us all disappointed and dissatisfied. Had been expecting much better.

Went on a busy Friday night. Staff were great and very efficient. It was a very busy service and they did well to keep on top of clearing up tables and getting meals out. The main meals were pretty huge but overall lacked flavour, seasoning...and spice and didn't look well presented. The poppers were really good (the best bit of the meal) and we enjoyed a huge fishbowl margarita. Kudos to the wait team.
Party of food all came out at very different times which is annoying! Prawns were extremely bland and flavourless with tails left on (for fajitas) my partners dish wasn’t much better but the poppers (starters) were delicious. Hard eating in a Mexican restaurant when...you know you can cook better yourself at home so will be doing that next time.
It's a great atmosphere, wonderful staff, great food, and has been excellent for seven years. We know the staff well and are always looked after and well fed. Don't believe the haters, it's awful what awful people say about a great local restaurant. Enjoy your...visit like we always do, wonderful place.
The quesadillas where literally beans with a bit of cheese and the tex mex seasoning you can buy from the supermarket. All the food we ordered waa soooo bland- no flavour at all. I don't understand how this place can be named as "Mexican" ,...by far the worst one I've ever been to.

Staff were friendly, but the food was extremely disappointing, bland and unappetizing. With the choice of excellent restaurants on offer in Fremantle it is not a restaurant we will ever return to.
Great service,good atmosphere and that’s where it ends. Bland food and very poorly presented. Did not look appetising at all.
