Michaels came highly recommended, and it’s easy to see why it has become a neighborhood favorite. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they convinced me to try the house-made Bratbeef. After some thought, I decided on the roast beef sandwich with Asian cheese, arugula, and garlic mayo. While the sandwich was a bit on the dry side, the garlic mayo was phenomenal—I could drink it from a straw! The roast beef itself was good, though I was hoping for a bit more flavor. Overall, it was a delicious sandwich. I also got some rice balls while they were still available, and they were excellent!
This is the best Italian specialities/deli in the immediate area. BUT they need to realize this isnt Upper Montclair or Short Hills, it's still a blue collar area, and their prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Last year they raised prices, and seems this month theydid again. I guess inflation hit the bakeries too, a loaf of bread went from $3 to $4.27. You can't get a small sandwich and adrink for under $20. If you have an important party or want to impress, then yes this is the place. Everything is delicious,but you'll go broke trying to eat here often.
The sandwiches were tasty, and the service was quick and friendly. However, I felt the prices were a bit steep for what you receive—$40 for two sandwiches and two sodas. At that price, I expect the meat to be loaded up. That said, I can't complain about the quality of the food; it was delicious, and the bread was excellent.
This place offers the best Italian cuisine and sandwiches around. The staff is always friendly, and the bread is top-notch. I've been coming here for years, and they’ve catered our office Christmas party numerous times. I highly recommend it for sandwiches and prepared foods.

The best! One of my biggest problems is that most salumeria do not use 100% olive oil, but they use an olive oil “blend”. Quality is definitely the key to taste at this point. The grilled chicken, eggplant, arugula, fresh mozzarella olive oil = perfection.
Locked door 3:48. Every week runs out of mozz/bread/chicken cutlets. Sad bc i leave an hour early for work to grab a sandwhich( this is 3rd week in a row). Get more inventory if you expect this kind of rush.
Fantastic, Will be back a lot. They have Italian Ham Pie in the window. My fav. You never see that anywhere. My Roast Beef sandwich was amazing. Great friendly staff.
