It's now called La Kava on the outside. I had high hopes for this place. I went w/ a friend to try the margaritas. We both agreed they were big cups of jug juice. We didnt taste any alcohol. We got 2 overpriced shooters, not shots. I got the coconut w/ seafood he got the steak taco dinner. Mines was ok, but they obviously don't expect people to take the whole coconuts to go, bc they didn't have a container for it, so I had to wrap it in foil. I also hate cheese w/ my seafood. It depends on the dish for my palate, but I didn't like it on here. The steak tacos were chewy bland also. It was a miss for us, but maybe when the band is there it's nice
The waitstaff is friendly and consistently checks if you need anything. The DJ is great, and the Paquita la del Barrio show is incredibly entertaining. The drinks and food are fantastic; my favorite is the mango chamoy, which is a must-try! Be aware that they will be closed for remodeling, but the venue is already lovely as it is. I think the expansion is a positive development for everyone. Definitely check this place out!
The name has changed to La Kava! The micheladas are expertly crafted, and their specialty micheladas are fantastic as well. Be sure to try the Sinaloa and mochi micheladas! The food is delicious and prepared with care. The service is friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return and recommend this place to others!
Such a fun place to enjoy a fantastic dinner and delicious drinks. Super packed! But we were able to sit at the bar. I'd you Olán going on a Saturday call a day ahead and reserve a table. You will not be disappointed!
