We have tried this place because we live in Pelham and it is nearby with good reviews. After dinner tonight, I am sincerely shocked at the 4.2 stars of this place. I ordered the seafood sampler who was special. It came with fried crabs, fried oysters, a crab cake and grilled shrimps. The oysters were fine. The crab cake was ok on the inside, but it was fried on the outside in an inch of its life. It was so overcooked on the outside that it tasted. Two other people on our table had the same problem with their crab cake. The crab claws were seasoned and overcooked so that the meat was hard to chew from the claw and chew. The shrimps had not desired to speak, despite the appearance of spices. I...

I was really impressed by Mikey's. I tried to go there on numerous occasions and they were always closed so much so that I assumed that the restaurant could have closed permanently. I'm really glad I was over tonight. I heard one of the servers mention that they had undergone some renovations, the place was well joined together. We had the black ribeye and the chicken shell (can not remember the name) were both excellent. The pages were also very, very good. The service was definitely at the point. So glad we made him another shot and we will definitely come back.

We like seafood from the Middle West, but that's completely different. Wasn't sure about cancer, so the cook gave us a sample. We added the alligator strips for the appetizers and counted them to share (not really, but almost). Had the Cancer Po boy because we liked the sample. Fantastic waiting staff, love it when they ask, but are not intrusive. Huge portions. We are not great eaters, so the appetizer and the Po-Junge split between us made us very comfortable for the continuation of our trip.

Excellent meal! We had the shrimp po' boy (10/10), the crab cake starter (singular only 1 crab cake for $11, 9/10 for taste, 5/10 for value), and the gumbo, 8/10 (all that okra made it a little slimey, but maybe that's personal preference). All in all, our grand total (including tip) was $52 ish dollars, for a great lunch. We'll be back, if not every week, at least every now then for the incredible shrimp!
