I work in the CBD and was so happy when I came across Miki Beautiful Sushi after trying so many places that were so hit and miss.I always go for the black rice options as they taste so good and are healthier than the normal white rice. They seem to be the only sushi place offering a good amount of black rice. I don't understand why they haven't attracted a large crowd by now over other sushi options on their street (I have tried them all this one is the best) but hopefully word of mouth spreads. Always fresh sushi and they keep them separate with plastic so you don't get unwanted food. Nice sizes and prices!
Very quick lunch on the run today. I was drawn to this place by their gorgeous display of sushi in glass cabinets. Nigiri and hand rolls. Seaweed wrapped or rice on the outside. Black rice too! So many interesting fillings and there is hot food available as well. Seating inside where you can watch the lunch rush on Adelaide Street. Today I bought a black rice roll filled with spicy salmon and cream cheese and the other roll was regular rice and seaweed filled with teriyaki salmon and avocado. Really enjoyed both and they didn't skimp on the fillings in either. Will be back to try more flavours soon.
Beautiful? Yes. But I would describe their sushi rolls as HUGE. At least when you compare them to other sushi places. Miki is more expensive, but the selection is extensive. If you are fed up with regular white rice sushi rolls, Miki can offer brown/black rice, huge nigiri pcs and a few items on a la carte menu. Each sushi roll is conveniently wrapped in transparent film and you can easily remove it as you eat. So if you are outside but somehow have dirty hands, you don't have to worry about touching food.

I absolutely love this place! I waited with much anticipation and excitement when this place first opened and it has not let me down once in any of my excursions there. I love the black rice sushi and being a non-seafood eater, I love that I have so many options to select from! The staff are so sweet, friendly and always smiling. Very well priced and adorable little setup. Definitely ideal for a quick lunch break or if you want something simple but full of flavour. It is always busy but service is fast and efficient. Highly recommend!

This sushi really IS fine. As others have said, totally rate that they're mixing it up with brown and black rice options. Their slogan is 'beautiful sushi' and the intricate items on display truly are aesthetically gorgie with great flavour combos too. Look forward to trying more soon.

Tried the mixed chicken box upon the recommendation from the nice girl at the counter. Was pleasantly suprised it was so fresh and tasty. You also have to try the freshly squeezed orange juice. Beautiful!
I work in the CBD on weekends and my once a week treat is their chicken or prawn katsudon! Everything they make is fresh and tastes amazing. The staff are also very friendly and extremely accommodating.
lots of sushi to choose from with plenty of vegetarian options. just a shame that they all came individually wrapped in plastic which seems a bit wasteful so probably won't be back.

I highly recommend this sushi restaurant if you are expending the day in the CBD. Fresh salmon with avocado make the perfect combination for a healthy lunch :)
