Lunchtime and I am wandering around Toowong looking for lunch. I walked into Jackpot which serves Cantonese style fried noodle and rice dishes. A bit heavy for my lunch as I prefer a lighter meal. I walk into Miko's Bento at 12pm and I see 4 diners enjoying their meals. I order a Miso Soup ($2.50), Agedashi Tofu ($5), Chicken Karaage ($8) and an Okonomiyaki ($4). By 12.15pm the restaurant is filling up with customers. I notice their take away business is popular. The waitress advises me that they have sold out of the Okonomiyaki and I decide not to order something else. My meal is served a few minutes later. The Chicken Karaage is piping hot and dribbling with some orange coloured homema...

I come here a lot. The hotel I stay at for work almost every week is close by and I love Japanese food. Tonight i tried the ramen for the first time. I have been avoiding the temptation for months as i have very high standards when it comes to ramen. It was average. Which is disappointing and out of character as usually the food would be 5 plus. Did i eat it of course, it wasnt the worst ramen ive eaten and as i said it was average so there was nothing wrong it per se....not every dining experience can be like a meal from Shokudo Katatsumuri but im a hopeless food romantic look and hope for the magic in every dish. I want to repeat the other dishes are wonderful that I have eaten here.
I am writing this review today because of the employee talking to me rudely on the phone.. i have come to this place 10 times and i use to love it... but i got the wrong order today and called back and the staff says its the same price and its ok... just want to say i didnt cal to get free food... u just spoiled a regular customer whos sent 15 friends of mine to your place... very rude on the phone... will never come back... u can keep ur 7 pieces of dumplings coz i only got 5... also you took a dollar extra for curry and there was no curry... why is it that every time a new place starts doing good business.. they become stingy and the quality goes down.. Went here to get a bento box. Opening hours say 10am it was 10.30am. Doors wide open, open sign on display. Was gestured to not walk in as the floors were being mopped, asked if open and they said no. Walked away feeling embarrassed and annoyed. Change your opening hours if you can't cater to customers who are willing to drive 20 minutes to your business. I had already been patiently waiting all morning until 10am and now I wont come back.
Was starving after a long walk and found this place. Nothing fancy decor wise but the multitude of vege food options pleased us. The cost is low enough to order multiple small dishes.. although we decided to try the bento boxes. Ordered 2 vegetarian bento boxes and spring rolls = $38. LOTS of food for 2! Very tasty, flavourful, and filling! Super happy ????
Had a quick stopover at this restaurant. The food and services was as expected. Prices were average-good. Probably worth a stop if you're nearby, but not worth going out of the way to get there. It's just your average Japanese bento restaurant.
Superb! Wonderful food with a reasonable price! The tiger roll is really awesome! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Great place!!!!!!!!!!!!! Book a table now
Miko's is not the most visually appealing restaurant, but it's clean and tidy, the staff are helpful and the food is fantastic and well priced.

"The food was tasty. But everyone at our table immediately felt very ill. Almost instantly. The salmon was also a little to raw. The meat was quite a fatty cut"
