I've lost count of how many times I've visited, but my order is usually the same: the combo plate with tonkatsu and broiled mackerel, accompanied by a bowl of rice and miso soup—enough to fill me up for two meals. I really hope this hidden gem sticks around! The service can be a bit slow at times, and there are often lines, but it never bothers me. Solely came because of a Worth It video several years ago. Homey small izakaya. I ordered the okonimiyaki and a potato croquette. My friend had stewed oxtail with daikon and rice. My dishes were stodgier than I expected. My friend 's dish reminded me of my mother 's cooking. Will try this place again. Neighboring diners had very tasty looking tempura and sashimi. I wanted to try that on my next visit. Parking: Parking lot is a little hidden at the back of the building. There 's also free street parking.
This cozy little Japanese restaurant may be small, but it serves up generous portions! I particularly love their Teriyaki Beef, Sashimi, and Tempura. I've tried several dishes, including fish, skewers, and soups, and everything has been delicious. The service is fast, making for a great dining experience overall!
A local staple for authentic Japanese food. Casual eating. The inside of the restaurant is a bit tight. Not the most comfortable. Menu is extensive, but bordering on overwhelming. The redeeming quality is that it seems anything you order will be delicious. Not expensive but not cheap.

I don't know why it took me so long to try this place. The mexican dude at the back can stir fry something fierce, great skills. Try the daily special you'll be surprised how good it is. Today's special was salmon belly and pork and beansprout stir fry and they were exquisite
This one of the top Japanese restaurants in Southbay one of my personal favorites for years! I recommend getting their teriyaki chicken and tempura dinner combination and the Kastudon bowl! The food here is affordable, top-notch, and authentically Japanese!
Food has gone downhill and the prices are astronomical. This place is too small and when it is full it gets VERY LOUD and NOISY. You cannot hear the person next to you. Service was subpar, seems like the servers are all just grumpy.
The restaurant tends to get quite busy, so be prepared to wait a little. It's a cozy space, and the fried onions are incredible—their aroma and texture are simply outstanding. Overall, I highly recommend that you come back again!
