The manager was very nice in trying to accommodate me based on the flow of customers. We ordered apps and a main course. For some strange reason, they brought out both courses simultaneously. I asked the waitress why they didn't parse the courses so that my main would not get cold. She gave me attitude and took the main course back. I then asked for a new set of utensils and again, she gave me an exasperated look. Then when she came back, I confronted her and asked if there was a problem and she tried to play it off. I wanted to just quickly write a review of my experience at Mojo. We ate at Mojo because we were heading to the Kings of Leon concert at Forest Hills Stadium and needed something to eat before the show and Mojo had availability. Overall Experience was just okay, service was good but when it comes to food, it was WAY below par for what you pay. Our bill was over $200 for 3 people and to be honest, I 've had better latin food at a bodega or a hole in the wall restaurant where you go and order a plate of food for $10.00 12.00. The menu options was okay and had some options, we ordered, Empanadas and Fish Tacos for Appetizers and Ropa Vieja, a version of Lomo Saltado and a Filet Mignon for dinne...
My sisters and I came here on Friday night to celebrate my birthday. I was excited to try all the vegan vegetarian options on the menu. I loved the vegan empanada as well as the rice and beans! The margarita was delicious, perfect kick! Overall we had a great experience, but our waitress had a bit of an attitude. We mentioned that we’d order our main courses after we received our apps and drinks and she rolled her eyes. The 18% gratuity added to the bill for 3 people is uncalled for especially with service as so.
The staff at Mojo were incredibly welcoming and accommodating to my dog. They arranged a private area to ensure my dog was comfortable, and the entire team came over to greet him. The food was outstanding – we tried the mama arepas, and they were delicious. The mezcal cocktails were also fantastic. I will definitely be returning, especially for the cocktails! Book a table now
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, but unfortunately, the beans were quite unappetizing. They tasted like they came straight out of a can and lacked any flavor. Additionally, the churrasco that was advertised turned out to be an entraña, which is a different cut of meat.
