weekday and it is also busy during lunch, this vegan tea east cafe is open, friendly and tasty eating. On the small size, but the updated menu should give them a better idea of what they have. they also have sweets and pastries that are at the theke. I ordered the mushroom to share, but not deceived! it's a small part that I can eat alone, it's more like a side dish, most people get packing, and that's more filling. I also got the magic mushroom hot drink and it has this burning bitter taste I don't enjoy. they have a lot to eat, so they come back to try more.
I can only assume that this has changed the hands recently, as we certainly have not experienced any of the friendly service or great coffee that other reviews mentioned. after minutes, my coffee was not there yet, when it finally did, it was wrong. I didn't want to say that I didn't stay and was on my lunch, because I didn't have two hours to save. the staff/manager/Koch was not even interested or apologetic. Oh, good. there are many other cafes in newtown and more early every week. as a native I have a lot to choose!
positive: decent coffee, usually very consistent. large food proportions. huge menu, and other possibilities to take brote, etc. friendly. Negative: food quality a little lacks, e.g. preserved mushrooms, powdered garlic, etc., which affect the taste. eat very slowly. My faves: Breakfast rolls!You should cut the menu a little and focus on fresh and execution, and this place would seriously increase a notch.
amazing service and service! was served on Saturday 19th February by a friendly staff with an English accent and she gave us great recommendations and was so friendly! have the jerusalmer bowl that was fantastic along with the pink drink! only criticism is that they do not compost their food. they use paper straws. the best vegan caffe out there!

amazing eating and service, I wish I knew this place would be safe again earlier. they were busy, but were before the nasty, because we had to wait, we have nothing against it. the food was delicious and super fresh. the staff was friendly and welcoming, as well as probably one of the best coffee I ever had. cannot wait to return.
absolutely delicious! we tried the fol, kakao donut, smoothie and coffee. everything was nicely prepared, fresh and healthy. service was hospitable and welcoming. definitiw will again try a few more dishes, as everything came out looked amazing. visit here if they are looking for excellent Central Eastern cuisine.
This place is awesome! The patriarch running the place was very sweet and able to accomodate my dietary need to avoid garlic and onion. I’ve spent time all over the Middle East and the food was super legit. The fattet hummus was a stand out.
Beautiful cafe on king street. Relaxed vibes and very fresh food which is different from the usual cafe fare. I tried the jerusalam bowl which came with falafel, cauliflower, salad, rice, hummus pita bread. Everything was delicious!

Vegan. Healthy. Delicious. Love the sweets and the savoury dishes. Not to mention that both the yellow juice and the peanut butter smoothie tasted like heaven! Lovely customer service. Will definitely come back.
Went for a breakfast lunch and it was delightful. Food is 10/10. So many flavors layers and textures. Place is one of best vegan cafes in syd! Definitely recommended!
