The food at this restaurant is excellent, with generous portions and a focus on both taste and presentation. However, the Gyoza dish was disappointing as it seemed to be microwaved while still frozen, resulting in a dry and tough texture. The atmosphere is lacking and the room can be quite echoey, but the service is attentive. It is unfortunate that they do not adhere to their published opening hours, as they turned us away early on a Friday night when they should have been open until 11:00pm. This is the second Japanese restaurant in Newtown we have encountered that has done this, with the other eventually closing down despite offering great food and a better atmosphere.

My daughter ordered edamame, a main meal, miso soup, and a drink, while I ordered miso soup and a Bibimbap dish. Despite receiving her edamame and drink, my daughter did not receive the rest of her order. The miso soup I received was very small, and the Bibimbap was dry and crunchy without any moisture or egg. When I inquired about my daughter's meal, the chef personally apologized and offered it for free. However, my daughter was already too hungry and we decided to leave. Overall, the menu was limited and prices were high. It ended up being an expensive evening and I had to cook and clean at home afterwards.

Genuine Japanese service and beautifully prepared food. The one chef, named Bong, does all the preparation and presentation himself. He is passionate and very proud of the food he serves. Some of the best quality sushi I have ever tasted. And that includes Japan. The restaurant is almost the last one on the Newtown strip with a handy Council carpark directly behind. We are now regulars, away from the frenetic pace of some of the other restaurants in Newtown.

I come here regularly and have never been disappointed with the service or quality of food. If more people knew about how good (and reasonably priced) the food was, there would be lines outside of the door!
