Genuinely think the staff receive no training. Arrived at Falkirk and was greeted by a guy who looked shocked that they had a customer. We were told to pick our own table, which was easy given that nobody else was in. Then handed menus and told we could order using our phones! Rather than water service. Not wanting to order by phone we expected someone to come to our tablebut no. The food was really yummy. We have ordered from here before, and the food has always been good. This is the first time we have eaten in the restaurant. The guy who was serving was not the most reassuring server. We were ordering drinks, he forgot to take one of the guys at the table, then brought the wrong thing. The music was really loud, so much so, he couldn't be heard by a few of us at the table and we really couldn't hear him. Plus, the whole place was freezing. We went here for a nice birthday meal on a Sunday lunchtime. Restaurant was really quiet, so service was excellent. The food was really nice and served to us quickly. A good choice of drinks and again very speedy service. The problem occurred when I went to the bathroom, due to a very sticky floor in the restaurant I fell flat on my face, luckily I wasn't badly hurt or even more luck I didn't break my glasses. The server saw I had fallen and asked if I was okay, but that was it,no real care or making sure I was really okay. I left the restaurant feeling embarrassed and quite sore. Disappointed was an understatement, was expecting an enjoyable meal especially for the price, place was empty so plenty seats to choose from (first red flag) was **** freezing too, wanted to keep my coat on! Took over half an hour to get what we ordered, looked nice when it arrived but the plate was freezing! as if it had just been brought in from outdoors! Burger bun was cold too, burger thankfully was hot, lettuce was still soaking with cold water which unfortunately left the plate wet and the bottom of the bun was soggy and wet, definitely won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend either, could have had a three course meal for the price we payed
The service was incredibly slow for a place that was fairly empty. We didn't receive the fries we ordered, yet we were still charged for them. Additionally, we were overcharged for cheese—on the menu it was listed as £0.75, but our bill showed £1.50. The kids' pasta tasted like diluted tomato puree, and the kids' hot dog was quite small, especially with the larger bun. It was overcooked on one side and had a slight hint of spice. The adult burgers were rather bland and definitely didn't seem fresh, despite what was advertised. Overall, we dined in.
