The tandoor dishes are not bad and are well presented. Atleast better than the tepid fare found at other nearby restaurants that gets passed of as authentic Indian. But the other dishes are bland, generic fare that lack the depth and distinct flavors of expertly cooked Indian food. ATTENTION NO MORE DINING IN!!!!! I had a five star review for this place because the food is very good but after going there numerous times and sitting down to eat today I was told by the woman there that they could not serve me because the place was “not appropriate to dine in”. Whatever the hell that means. I told her I’ve eaten there many times. She said I could order as takeout And if I wanted to eat my takeout there I could. I want to like this restaurant, but the meals I have had here have never been very complex. Indian Aroma, which is just down the street, offers similar or better flavors, and the restaurants in Lake Hiawatha are on a completely different level. During my most recent visit, I ordered chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and samosas. The chicken tikka masala was sweet and tangy, the garlic naan was freshly baked but lacked flavor, and the samosas were overfried with a strong spice kick and lacking in potato and pea filling. I visited this restaurant for the first time and specifically requested over the phone for a dish to have no spiciness. I ordered three different dishes, including the no spiciness dish for my daughter. When I went to pick up the order, I found that the dish labeled as mild on the receipt was actually the spiciest of all. The cashier became argumentative when I raised this issue, which was totally unacceptable. Now, I have to cook something separately for my daughter. The food at this restaurant is okay, but I cannot recommend it due to the poor customer service. I suggest trying Indian Aroma, which is located half a mile down the road.

my boyfriend and i were looking for a place to eat one random night and found mostly grill. we were not disappointed! i had the butter chicken with garlic naan and he had spicy goat (i forget the name of the dish). he loves spicy food and absolutely adored how much spice they added. very flavorful. we were to speak to the chef who made our meal and you could tell he takes a lot of pride in his work. he told about how they were able to push through the pandemic being a smaller business. they also gave us free dessert!
We greatly enjoyed everything we ordered! My husband and I visited for lunch for the first time and had classic dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala, Mango Chicken (which we loved!), various flavors of naan, and Rasmalai for dessert. Everything was excellent and we will definitely be returning soon.
We did a grubhub order here. The food was exceptional. Lamb chops, salmon and coconut shrimp, were all cooked very well and sauces were perfectly matched.I have no hesitation recommending this establishment and will be returning myself.
Oh no, they're closed? We loved this place! Food was fresh and interesting and portion size was generous. I hope they land in a new location.
