Mother India would have to be one of the best authentic Indian restaurants I have ever been to. Everything from the beef vindaloo to the naan bread was spot on. The restaurant looked liked it may have been a corner deli in a previous life and you have to look twice upon arriving as you get the feeling you've made a wrong turn and missed the restaurant. Heard about this little gem a few months ago.
Ordered my first takeaway last Wednesday night, just the simple 40 bucks selection.
By gum it was amazing, takes you back to good old English curries on a Sunday night, pub closes at 10.30 pm so let's go get another pint or two of kingfisher lager at the local Indian.
We had the lamb rogan gosh, good well balanced flavour and not to hot on the tongue. Then the chicken korma was tender and a twist of coconut was yummy.
The sides of rice, nan and dhal etc ideal and well cook.
Looking forward to my first dine in experience.

I can't recommend Mother india. we have ordered ourselves with uber eats. the main parts were served in the smallest food collection containers. completely tear. The garlic nan brot was minuscule. tiny piece. Pretty ensures that it is not the best policy to blame a legitimate complaining of the customer; to blame them, to be lazy because they rely on the delivery of food....nomind a global pandemic or to subject that the customer cannot afford to eat their restaurants, has a fake account or lives in mebourne!
I made the mistake of not making a booking and when I showed up on Sunday night, the place was very busy. fortunately, the staff found me a table, but it took a while to get a menu and place an order, everything seemed a bit messy when the staff ran around to serve dishes. Finally I got the mixed herbal curry and rice a good simple choice that was exactly what I needed. next time I book.

What an Indian experience ???? great little family restaurant. Authentic flavours that will blow you away. Quite spicy but you can request for a more mild spice if you are weak ????. No seriously one of the best Indian meals we have had, the samosas are Devine and the Goan king prawns are a must . You must book as it gets very busy .. Do yourselves a favour and try this place !
Mother india, although picturesque, is a beautiful culinary experience. the staff is very friendly and eating is delicious. I tried the mixed sweetheart, Aloo-Baignan, saffron and simple naan. it tasted all so tasteful and not too oily. everything is cheap and I would definitely recommend going here.
Excellent curry, lovely set up. Reasonable prices - especially with some of the banquets. I found the beef vindaloo tasty but didn't like the quality of the beef - have since had the chicken vindaloo instead which is amazing!
Amazing food, welcoming setting and staff. $50 to comfortably feed two people pllus a little extra to take home for lunch! Hard to find spots like this these days, cheers Mother India!
