I was a bit unsure about trying Motts Creek Inn after reading some reviews, but for my partner’s birthday, we went with my mother-in-law. The atmosphere was pleasant—good music, clean, and right by the water. The staff was friendly, and the moonshine flight was excellent. We ordered the fried calamari, fish and chips, coconut shrimp, and mahi tacos. Everything came out promptly and tasted fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know, and we’ll be back for sure. Just be careful with your speed on the road leading there—there’s a cop watching the 25 mph speed limit closely. I also love the idea of the BBQ shack on the same property and look forward to trying it next time...
The views at Motts Creek Inn are absolutely stunning and create the perfect atmosphere for an enjoyable visit. The wings are excellent, and the clams in white sauce are just right. The soup is delicious as well. We came on a Sunday during football season, and their specials were fantastic. If you’re seeking amazing views and tasty food at reasonable prices, this place is definitely worth the trip. Although the restaurant is small, there is plenty of outdoor seating—perfect for pleasant weather and a wonderful fall outing. It wasn’t too busy, so bring a sweater to stay cozy. We also learned they have a barbecue pit in the summer and look forward to making this a regular stop.
The food was great, and I loved dining by the water. My waitress, Gabby, was delightful—very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended an amazing cocktail that I thoroughly enjoyed! She ensured we had everything we needed during our two-hour visit. Gabby's warm personality, excellent waitressing skills, and engaging conversation made the busy atmosphere feel just like home with family! Motts is definitely at the top of our list! A friendly reminder to everyone: please treat your servers well, as they rely on our tips, and if the service is exceptional, your tip should reflect that!
I absolutely adore the view, the live music, and the dog-friendly atmosphere. However, the service was a bit slow in attending to us, and since it wasn't busy at the time, that's why I'm giving it only a 4-star rating. On the plus side, the food was delicious. It made for a wonderful lunch by the bay!
