We walk in, only 2 men were there. We set down and our order was taken immediately but then we waited over 1 hour for our food. After sitting there waiting for our placed order about 30 minutes later others walked in. It was breakfast, really! How long does it take to get ready. For the first 30 minutes we were there only us and the other 2 men were there. They finally get their food, they eat and paid. By this time a few more people come in, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food to arrive. It's very very small in there. It doesn't hold many people. But the wait time was CRAZY!!! And the food wasn't worth it. Our scrambled eggs were not fully cooked. The sausage was weird with no flavor...
What a great place. The food here is prepared to order so if you 're in a hurry you should probably go to McDonalds down the street and eat their street trash because good, quality food takes time. This is a place to relax, put your phone down, look across the table, visit with your mate, and wait for your culinary delight to show up. My wife and I have had the sweet potato pancakes (yum! the Campfire Scramble (They actually 'ask ' you how you 'd like your hash browns cooked-me: extra crispy , their cinnamon rolls (so good they have to be Heaven sent , the sour dough bread (eating some right now at home...incredible and their fresh made quiche...to die for. Great, home cooked to order breakfast. I would recommend arriving as soon as they open at 7, as it is a true small, family feel breakfast/brunch spot with only a few people working (the owner being one of them I believe). Since everything seems to be cook to order, I would assume 40-60 minutes is the average time that you will spend between ordering/eating, so I wouldn’t recommend if you are on a time crunch. The orange rolls were great and people repeatedly came in to order homemade fresh cinnamon rolls. My husband said that the hand rolled sausage was great as well. The service was quick and friendly. We had the flat-top rolled omelette, breakfast sandwiches, and cinnamon rolls. All were phenomenal! Everything we had including the biscuits and cinnamon rolls were hand made that morning and still warm. Should we ever come back to Clayton the Mountain Grill will be on our places to stop! Great food in a small quaint local restaurant. Homemade cinnamon rolls were wonderful. Friendly and fast service. They also have homemade banana bread loaves available to take out.
