I started with the Devil Roll, which features a very spicy yellow mustard. I usually take such warnings seriously, but they often turn out to be overblown for me. So I was pleasantly surprised when it packed a punch, burning like wasabi but with an even stronger kick. After doing some research later, I believe the mustard was karashi, although I didn’t confirm this with the waiter, so don’t quote me on it. I love trying new things, so it was exciting to sample a roll with an ingredient I hadn’t encountered before. Next, I ordered the Tiger Eye, which I knew was rice-free, so its size didn’t catch me off guard. It was served warm, showcasing a fascinating mix of flavors. Overall, I really en...

However, when I took a bite, an overwhelming foul odor hit me immediately—it was so intense that I nearly vomited. It was so off-putting that I had to spit it out and return it to the chef. What was even more disappointing was the lack of an apology from the chef for serving us spoiled fish. This could have resulted in a serious health risk had I swallowed it and contracted food poisoning. Honestly, I find it hard to trust a chef who serves spoiled food. I felt compelled to share my experience because I found this restaurant through reviews, and I hope no one else has to go through what I did.

Wow! I can’t believe I’ve been living in the Galleria/Addison area for a year and didn’t discover this gem sooner. The sushi here is incredibly fresh and smooth, and the intimate atmosphere makes it even better. The location is perfect, and the staff is so welcoming. I can't recommend it enough! It's also very affordable, making it an excellent spot for a date. While I might not be the best person for that, it’s definitely a great place for couples. Make sure to tell them I sent you! It’s one of the best sushi joints in Dallas, without a doubt.

I've visited this place several times, and the food has consistently been excellent. Sushi Chef Ben prepares delicious sushi that is always fresh. I've also tried some of the cooked dishes, and they've been great too. It's a hidden gem that I highly recommend. Be sure to ask the chef about what’s fresh and their recommendations. The sushi and rolls are fantastic; I especially love the Salmon Belly and Tamago sushi. You definitely shouldn't miss the Pork Kakuni either—it’s a must-try! Book a table now

The decor of the restaurant feels a bit outdated. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but on the positive side, nobody in our group got sick, which is always a concern when eating raw fish. The female server was very pleasant, although she did get one of our orders wrong and still charged us for it. The sushi was above average, but nothing really wowed me. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5.

The food was quite bland and lacked flavor. I visited before closing time at 8:30, but that didn't seem to make a difference. I'm giving it 2 stars only because the atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent. The Philadelphia roll was decent, but the fire roll didn't impress me at all.

Absolutely the finest quality sushi in Dallas. The fun part was trying the special dishes they had. Clam, scallops, mackerel which have been hard to find in Dallas were amazing. Atmosphere is low key so come for the food and not the scene.Food: 5/5

Mr. Sushi is truly a delightful hidden gem. The service is exceptional, and there's no need for a bar. If you find yourself at the sushi bar with Ben-san, it feels like you're among family. As... Book a table now

I absolutely love this sushi spot! Troy is the best entertainer behind the sushi bar! I was in the hospital last night, and I appreciate all the prayers...
