Great historic Tavern/Restaurant. Excellent service and great food. I sat at the century old bar with the original bar back. The place is beautiful. I had a simple but tasty corned beef on rye. Genuine amounts of lean corned beef in the sandwich. I asked for loaded fries and they were delicious using thick steak fries. A definite place to go to if you love good food in a historic place.
I wish this outside place can be open even in the winter if they put heaters and closed the outside space. Their food is great, but their inside space seems so closed in. I usually wouldn't care but with the pandemic we are just trying to keep safe.
Never made it in. I was with a handicapped person and walk from parking lot was too far. Add to that the stairs. Need a more handicapped friendly method to enter.
