We had two nights in the Taigh Aileen hotel (see our other review) and spent both of them in Monros bar. The choice, quality and portions in the restaurant were all excellent as was the service. There is a great choice of whisky’s and gins...as well as some really nice beer. The location is amazing with views over the loch and mountains but what really made it special for us was the people. Katie and the whole team do a great job, happy, friendly and helpful, they made us so welcome and I’m sure we’ll see them all again on our next visit to Skye.
Staying in Carbost we were pleased to find this excellent venue just down the road. With a warm welcome and friendly homely atmosphere, and I’ve not even started on how wonderful food was. Wow and wow. With traditional Scottish fare but with something for everyone....The service was so good before my friend could make her request it was already granted. Food was divine and the bar was well stocked with a knowledgeable barman, great for if you want to try a wee nip for the first time.
We went here the first night we arrived on the island as it was nearby and we weren’t disappointed. The food is cooked fresh, comes in generous portions and tastes amazing. The bar itself has a warm, cozy feel to it with a wood burner...in the corner and various decorations on the walls adding to the atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and were happy to talk away with us. We enjoyed it so much we decided to go here on our last night too. A must visit!
This place seemed very average when we arrived with a very local feel and us being the only tourists. We went because it was highly rated and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was warm like family, food was fresh and crisp. Each and every...item was outstanding. My family is vegetarian and they loved the goat cheese bruschetta, a lovely salad and I had the pork roast. Everything was superb, followed by dessert and coffee.

We was lucky to have 2 meals in and 1 take away , All was lovey and cooked with care and love for what they do , it's not just the food but staff spoke to a lovey lady working there and was so sorry...we was not able to get booked in for supper yet we did have Lovey take away , This show's how Much they care about You and not just what you give in money long may you continue And Thank You for making a relaxing holiday perfect
We ate at Munro’s bar on our last night on Skye and we weren’t disappointed. There was a lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and informal. We both enjoyed our meals and shared a dessert. The service was great, the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Highly...recommend going if you are visiting Skye, just make sure you book a table.
we had some hardships to find a place that wasn't full and ended up driving a past to this restaurant, but it was easy worth it! the location is great, eating was amazing and the staff was very friendly. a true jewel!
I had dinner here at a stay in portnalong. eating was great with a good menu selection. I recommend the scallops, really worth a jump! is a cozy little bar to spend a nice evening in good company
