I’m sure many in LIC will agree—absolutely love this place. The folks here are friendly, experienced, and eager to recommend the best slices of cheese, cured meats, and pickled sides. This review is for the restaurant and not the store itself. Worst restaurant experience I've had so far. Imma sum up the reasons in bullets: 1) After being sat, everything is all good. Waters and drinks were served quick. I went back out for 5 minutes to grab my phone which I forgot. Tried the clam risotto, murray melt, and tomato soup. Overall okay, nothing too amazing. Risotto was a bit too wet and almost like congee, flavour was also a bit too strong and I wasn’t able to finish the meal. Sandwhich and tomato soup combo was alright as well although same issue as with the risotto where the flavour is a bit much and hard to finish- tasted salty and needed a lot of water. Overall okay experience. Servers were very kind though!
Went for the first time to celebrate my brother’s birthday- it was absolutely amazing! Greeted warmly by the host, sat immediately, our server was soo accommodating with recommendations and making sre we had everything we need! the food, drinks and service were top notch i will surely be back! thank you for the wonderful experience and exceptional hospitality! I've never paid so much for cheese yet been so satisfied. The cheese with the chocolate and spicy compote is out of this world. Honestly it's so weird but so good. It's a great little restaurant with cool vibes and great music. The Murray's Melt with tomato soup was incredible. I didn't set out tonight to spend $100 on cheese, but I'm glad I did. Definitely give it a shot.
This place should be good. The quality of the food is consistently good. The restuarant is well maintained. However I have been here several times and staff has never gotten my order correct. They have delivered me the wrong meal several times in the same evening. It has taken my party 2 hours to be served here. The service and the wait staff are atrocious.
Friendly staff and decent craft beer selection. Truffle mac cheese is very good. Con is the prices are a bit steep for what it is compared to other quality restaurants in the area. Nevertheless, a good bet if you want consistency.
Great cheese and nice ambiance! Less crowded than the location in the west village.
