The exterior was really historical because it used to be an old church. We didn't make a reservation but because it was still early before dinner they accommodate us. We opted for the early evening course meal of roasted breast of chicken and pan fried pork loin, with the starters of piri piri marinated prawns and crispy chicken tenderloins. I always come here, when I am in Inverness, 3 or 4 times a year. The food is superb, staff so friendly and the building is such a lovely place. Top marks all round. Fabulous, as usual, the only place I ever have a steak, it's that good. A reasonable choice of GF or GFA available. Order clearly made but when main course came (menu notes it as GFA) there was no difference. I queried this and was assured that it was all GF. I asked them to check the menu which they then did and removed the dish as it contained gluten and no alternatives had been provided.. The meal was replaced, BUT should not have had to question them!
Couscous was labeled as gluten free when it was not. They served my coeliac daughter a dish with breadcrumbs and assured us it was gluten-free, only to come back a few minutes later and apologise that it wasn’t. The manager was very nice and the food was good but this is not a good place for coeliacs. Book a table now

Dry aged ribeye, salmon, a bottle of crispy South African white winewith a bowl carrot soup each. One of my favorite eating spots on our vacation. Our server was very kind and patient as I savored my way through the steak. Would absolutely return. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

"Liver and onions was creamy and tasty. This is a quiet small hotel restaurant and a very nice menu. The sticky toffee pudding was unfortunately store bought and just average but enjoy the main course."
