Being a native New Yorker for 19 years, I was excited to visit this restaurant during my visit in Alamosa. My first impressions were nice, the atmosphere is quaint, but being critical that this is a “pizzeria” as claimed in the name of the restaurant (it says “‘pizza’” it certainly lacks the qualities of a NY/NYC parlor. I won’t let that take away too much from the restaurant actually being really nice. (Attached is a photo claiming that this establishedment aims to create “New York Style Pizza The service was ok, I was stared down by the man struggling to form the dough into a circle, he succeeded at forming it into a wide obelisk half circle which was disappointing because it was the same...
I was excited to try this place based on reviews but sadly not sure why anyone would recommend eating here. They shouldn't advertise made to order food if it's microwaved.. yes sauce chicken were reheated, some spots cold and sauce had a top layer of water sitting there. Service.. welp they were out of some beers, not sure what they had left, no butter to make garlic bread. Sounds like their about belly up and struggling to be what they once were. Save your money, pass them by we literally left to eat elsewhere after paying their ridiculously priced food.
Tried to dine at My Brother’s 2 23 24 around 6 ish. Called several times and received the “no voicemail box” set up message. We decided to drive to town and upon arrival there was a sign posted that read “closed sold out,” but the door was open and two people on their way in stated to us, “they don’t always have enough food.” Strange. I wish places would leave phone messages about their open or closed status. This happens so frustratingly often in the valley.
This place is a hidden gem. Unassuming from the street and the first floor, but upstairs there is a lovely, airy seating area with impressive authentic vintage concert posters. Our pizza was outstanding. Handmade crust with huge, delicious air bubbles. Topping was fresh and artisanal. Truly memorable pizza. . Will be back there very soon! Generously sized slices available at lunch/dine-in...delicious pizza and crust, pepperoni slices curled up nice and crispy , friendly service, great atmosphere...I'll be back!
