I first had Thai food at this establishment 16 years ago when the owner opened her first MyThai on John St. Hamilton, It is still in operation, and this one in Brantford is one of the additional places started by same owner. The atmosphere is cheery, the staff attentive and helpful, and the service is excellent and fast. The menu provides a choice of many different Thai dishes, there is a full menu for dinner, and an extensive lunch menu. The prices are reasonable as well the quantity of servings is generous. We have eaten at the Hamilton and Cambridge locations as well, and the food and service is consistently good at each one.
Chose My Thai to celebrate my birthday on Wednesday March 23rd at 7:00pm...was seated by a girl wearing gym clothes (sweathshirt) ..sat patiently waiting for 15 minutes as they finished with a larger party of perhaps 8 or 10 people. Watched the wait staff walk by, without looking at our table then stop at the bar to check their cell phones, and have a glass of water, walk by again to serve other tables, etc....LEFT without being served...poorest customer service I have experienced.How are you in business ??
Our family loves My Thai! Our favorites include the coconut shrimp (and I usually don't like shrimp) the coconut chicken soup, mango salad, and the fresh spring rolls. My favourite curry is the panang curry, with pineapple curry a close second. The chicken satay is a huge hit with my picky eater, he calls it peanut butter chicken. I can honestly say that there isn't anything I've had that I haven't liked, and I think we've tried most of the menu... ❤️
If you like Thai, this is the place for you. Although not a sophisticated restaurant, Food is fantastic, reasonably price, service is exceptional and restaurant very clean. My husband and I moved here in July from BC and we are trying out different restaurants. We were not expecting to find a Thai restaurant as good as our favourite one in BC, but this one is our new favourite. Highly recommend.

Three of us came to the Brantford branch for lunch. We chose from the smaller lunch menu. With main course, dessert and a beverage, each person paid a little over $20. The food was good, although the curry was too mild for my wife's taste. I loved the cashew orange chicken! Service was very courteous, prompt, and caring. This is my fourth visit in two years, and I have enjoyed every one.
We are very big fans of the Ancaster location and go there frequently. We really wanted to like My Thai Brantford and event went twice to give them a second chance. Both times the food literally tasted like it had been shipped in from Ancaster the day before and was reheated for our meal. If you're craving Thai food, do yourself a favour and drive a bit extra to Ancaster.
Generally get take out from My Thai however had the chance to sit down for dinner at the end of October. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. I had asked for the pho soup in a dinner size instead of the lunch size, and they had accommodated the request for me. The food was hot and fresh.
This is a really good restaurant. The food was very good. We shared four dishes, all of which were done to perfection. When our coconut rice was going to be slow to the table, they brought complementary steamed rice. The atmosphere is upbeat and it is a great place to eat. Check it out!

The good thing was that our waitress was very attentive, courteous and helpful. The restaurant was clean. Unfortunately our dishes - the Lemongrass Chicken and the Pad Thai - both tasted oily, almost fishy. Maybe we hit them on an off night. We won't likely return though.
