Would not go back. They've recently remodeled, closing off the former dining room that had all the charm, atmosphere and view. They replaced it with a larger barrestaurant with zero atmosphere. The walls are bright white with no art. The ceiling lights were so bright, that I thought the cleaning crew was going to come in at any minute and start mopping the floors. I asked the waiter about the lights, and he just made a joke and did nothing. The food was just ok, and overpriced. We went to Nativo for a dinner for two on Friday night. I requested to be seated outside as the view of Biscayne Bay and the Port of Miami is a particularly nice one from this vantage point at the Conrad. The food and the service were both very good. Although I do wish the appetizers and desserts were larger. I know small plates are cliches for fine dining establishments, but an octopus entree got us about half of baby octopus tentacle sliced over some purple potatoes. It was very tasty, but gone in two bites. Same with the dessert, it seemed like a sample instead of a full sized plate. Valentines Day Dinner I took my Boo to this restaurant for Valentines Day. Everything was great until the food arrived. I ordered the 24 Hour entBraised Ribs which are supposed to simply fall apart when you touch the juicy meat. Not here! First it was over cooked/heated to the point it was burnt on one side. You simply could not pull the meat apart. See pic. It was horrible! I can’t believe any self respecting chef would allow that to leave his kitchen. But it got worse. I was up the entire night visiting my bathroom. This meat must have been spoiled. Horrible experience that I did not raise issue with last night because it was all about Valentine’s Day and not about my spoiled burnt food.
Nativo Kitchen Bar was perfect! Excellent meal, outstanding service and stunning views! I can’t wait to come back for dinner and lunch. They just recently opened and renovated and they have really done some amazing work. The Design is spectacular and the chandelier is breathtaking. Well done NKB. See you soon!
