This is the second time I visited this place. The first time was decent. Although the drinks were way over priced.This time was totally bewildering. There appeared to be a big push to take side orders, as many side orders as we could. There was none of the quality meat brought round. Just dried up chunks of leather on a skewer. There was none of the choice of the first time. We only had 3 different choices of meat. The service was rude and the drinks were over priced. I will never ever return here. For $250 for two people with 2 carafes of wine, I expect to get a decent meal. Totally disappointing.
A group of 14 of us enjoyed the delicious food available at Navala. The service was great, the staff made recommendations on sides and kept coming back to replenish. The meat was beautiful, cooked to perfection with a fantastic seasoning. Even the chicken was still moist! The only thing I didn't enjoy were the ribs, a friend described them as tasting like dishwater. Value for money is great, as were the drink selection. The restaurant has some nice features such as the view of the story bridge and the peacock feather fans. Lively atmosphere. Would recommend to meat lovers!
After searching for place to get Dinner someone recommended Navala in Brisbane, located in a very good location Ferry stop just down stairs, oh what a feast the friendly waiters just kept brining skewers of meat all different types and cuts, beef chicken, pork, roasted pineapple, pork sausages, it was my kind of place, "Mankind did not fight his way to the top of the foodchain to eat veggies" ... ... very good place highly recommended, thanks all very good keep up the good work
Good atmosphere on a Saturday night. If your looking for somewhere that is lively for a meal this is the place. Note it is loud so not much conversation can be heard.Food was okay, some of the red meats were a bit over cooked for my taste and a bit dry and tough. The chicken heart was good. The sides were ok, the salad bowls are small so if you like salad you do have to order a lot of them. Been, done it, ticked it off the list...

Drinks good but over priced. Took 20 or so minutes for any food or drinks to be brought to our table. Sea Food came out of microwave... SAD. All other food had no marinate or seasoning to speak of, though with the amount of condiments i feel like that was intentional. Front of house staff were pleasant and well manered.
