Having been a loyal patron of the original Hampton, I decided to explore the new Hampton after discovering its fantastic reviews online. I took my sister and her friend for a meal, and we were truly impressed by the quality of the food, its presentation, and the exceptional service. Living in Potts Point can make one a bit jaded with the array of fine dining options, but the New Hampton stands out as one of the best, all at a fraction of the price and without the pretentious staff often found elsewhere. it felt more like about expensive pub food than the restaurant description suggests. I don't have enough attention to the detail, but it was disappointing. menu was a lot of pub food, but the quality was not great (e.g. the carving was good, but no dressing on the koleslaw made the whole meal quite bland, and the salmon was very cut.) our main problem was the noise. If you are there for dancing with the live band, then it's great, but if you think it's hard to talk to the evening, it's not easy to talk. I think it's a perfect place to go for easy eating and simple vibe just know what they're signing up for.
We have been before to the Hampton pub and loved it but this was the first time back since covid and it was very disappointing, the fish had been frozen then cooked which was soggy, the schnitzel was over cooked and dry, the pie was not made on the premises and the veggie patty was store brought. It was not busy so I understand that they don't want to waste food but we will not be back until the standard of food picks up, because the place it self is fantastic with great view etc.
Have gone here a few times now but unfortunately we wont be back. We were planning to make this our work go to, but Tuesday was dissapointing. Food Quality, mix up with meals and over-priced drinks. Nice venue, the actual ambience and layout is great but you need to match it with other elements.

bad night the dame hazel was useless in the bar. the cocktails were made forever. the place was dead, there was no reason they were slow. our friends order never went through, although they went into the bar to confirm their order. eating was cooked pfeffer gravy was tasteless never back
Gals night out to see a play decided quick bite to eat beforehand greeted with a lovely welcoming smile all four had the schnitzel all cooked to perfection large servings the mash was to die for creamy smooth! Would definitely go back again!
I had a delightful dinner of salmon and mashed potatoes. The two drinks I ordered were only $8 each, which I thought was a great deal. The hotel was very quiet, with hardly anyone else around, likely due to the rugby game being on.
I've visited the New Hampton several times, and the food always meets my expectations.
