I cannot even believe I'm writing a Yelp review right now. This is a first for me. When this Nick the Greek location first opened up, it was bright with colors and so much good energy in one establishment. I believe the owner was Jack and his nephew. They were always there and always seemed busy (in a good way). After some time of being away, I moved back to San Carlos to be unpleasantly surprised what this Nick the Greek location has turned into. Every single person who works there looks utterly miserable, No one greets you with any type of smile, and they mumble when they talk. I feel the lack of love for the place and everything about it just sucks. The portions aren't consistent, sometim...

Skipped the overly priced food items at the Wine Art Faire and stopped by Nick The Greek to grab a quick bite instead. This location has both indoor and outdoor dining with the huge garage door front. First timer getting the pork belly gyro and have got to say.. it's better than the other gyros I typically would get. Honestly didn't even know this was an option.. maybe it's new? Anywho, placed the order, service was fairly quick. This gyro was super stuffed that with each bite, everything was just falling out. Everything was super fresh and hot that's the best! I didn't realize they didn't give any napkins with my Togo order so messy fingers! Parking can be a bit difficult to find as the Mai...

I am giving an extra star for the friendly staff and the clean restaurant, but unfortunately, the food was almost inedible. I expected the souvlaki to be marinated and moist, but the chicken was so dry that I couldn't finish it, even with taziki sauce. The portion size was small for the price, with only two skewers on the plate for nearly $20. The French fries were mediocre and greasy, while the pita was stale and hard to bite into. The side salad was decent but heavy on red onions. Overall, the food quality was very poor for the cost.

I have ordered takeout from this restaurant with my in-laws and they have made mistakes twice. The first time was with the delivery, which was not entirely their fault, and the second time they forgot the sauce for two items. Additionally, my brother-in-law had to pick up an item that was missing from a previous order. I was fortunate to receive a promo item with this order, but overall I was not impressed. This is one of our favorite spots in San Carlos. The food is delicious, healthy, and reasonably priced compared to other more expensive restaurants in the area. While the atmosphere may not be fancy, it helps keep costs down for customers. We usually opt for takeout or dining at their outdoor seating area. We highly recommend this place for a quick and budget-friendly meal.

A cold, rainy evening so I asked the hotel staff person where we could order soup for delivery. She told me Nick the Greek! . I ordered soup, a child 's chicken box, side of hummus, rice and a greek side salad. Grubhub delivered to the hotel room and everything was well packaged, fresh and delicious! I absolutely recommend them to you!

As a Gyro connoisseur, I'll give this pork belly gyro a 7 out of 10. Tsatsiki was great, also pita, missing some flavor, spice and crispiness to the meat and more raw onion. Enjoyable though and I will come back. Gyro with pork is not so common here in the bay area, but pork is required for real Greek Gyros in my opinion.

I chose to try the bowl with lamb and beef. Wow, what a disappointment! The portion if meat was so small. Definitely not worth the price!
