I want to apologize for my earlier review, which was completely unfair. I was having a rough day and unfairly directed my frustrations towards a small business that truly didn’t deserve it. I based my review on one negative experience instead of considering all the wonderful times I've had there. With that said, Doug's serves amazing food. Their fries are freshly hand-cut, not frozen, and their Italian beef and hot dogs are outstanding. Don’t miss the chili—it’s absolutely fantastic. Again, I’m sorry for my previous comments and thank you to the business for the great experience.
Ordered 2 cheese dogs and 2 chili dogs. I got them and they had ONLY cheese and ONLY chili on them. I have never seen that before. Absolutely no veggies. Is that normal? I wish I had known, but unfortunately it was a grub hub order so I had to take the loss. Fries were soggy and gross. I've eaten there before and it was mediocre, so they get 2 stars. Overall, I will be getting my hotdogs elsewhere from now on. Sorry, not sorry.
Stopped by for a Hot Dog Combo with home cut fries. They offer either beef or pork hot dogs. I love a Chicago dog with the whole garden attached, my previous visits had more plentiful condiments, so this dog was average at best. The french fries were home cut and good for that type of french fry. The interior of the restaurant has been remodeled and is very nicely done featuring a counter with some gaming machines.
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! They serve some of the best food in the South suburbs. I've tried nearly everything on the menu, and it's all delicious. From hot dogs and burgers to cheese fries and surprisingly tasty tacos, you won’t be disappointed. Perhaps most importantly, they actively give back and support the local community. Local, authentic cuisine. My mom and I decided to give this place a try, and we quickly became fans! I'm usually not a big fan of burgers and I'm not overly fond of meat (though I’m not a vegetarian), but I tried their gyro burger and I have to say—I really enjoyed it! They also make their fries fresh; I’ve noticed the staff occasionally bringing in large bags of potatoes to the restaurant. It's impressive!
First time customer, hot dogs and polish was delicious fresh cut Idaho potatoes fries best on far south side. Great staff and owner they gave us a free ribeye steak sandwich which was unbelievable. I will never be able to ride pass with out stopping again.
We had this truck come out to are grandsons birthday party along with other trucks and my whole family agreed there food and hospitality was the best... Ty guys we will definitely have yoir truck and future party's 10 ? forsure
The hotdogs I tried were good, but not the best I've ever had. However, it's still worth a visit if you're in the area. The chili was excellent, while the fries were just average. Book a table now
