Yesterday my wife and I arrived at Niwano at 2:30pm according to my apple watch and 2:31 according to their clock. We have eaten at this Japanese restaurant at least 10 times. The Host would not honor their lunch menu since their clock said 2:31pm. She checked with the kitchen and they said no. Here is the rub. They were thoughtless, rude and in no way companionate. My wife had just completed her third week of radiation therapy and we were delayed by traffic at the corner of Edmondson and Rockville Pike due to a semi-truck having difficulty maneuvering a left turn. It was my first time trying sushi, I loved the large menu options. The food came out quickly and was very good. I really enjoyed this place, it has a good Philadelphia roll and my absolute favorite, which you should try, is the crispy shrimp roll! The thingI disliked about this place is that all of the dishware was completely dirty. The cups, the dishes, the bowls. I tried to get agood photo of the food but all I could see was the dirty plate. It worried me about the cleanliness of the restaurant, I'veattached a photo in which you can see how dirty the black plate is.
We ordered take out chicken udon soup sea food udon soup this afternoon. I got my food and came home. when I opened the food, and I found out that they put the soup the noodle in the same food container which mean all the noodle would absorb all of thesoup and it doesn?t looks or Taste appertizing. They just look so sad! The egg in chicken soup was so overcooked like a rubberbouncey-ball, and they also put yellow spinach in their soup too! We are very disappointed, and we won?t return again!!!
I like the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is very cozy and small. The food is very delicious, especially the miso soup. The bento box had an assortment of food and flavors. The salmon was very flavorful, paired with the soy sauce. The shrimp tempurawas very crunchy and it is very savory dipped in the soy sauce. I recommend trying this restaurant out.

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. The sushi was extremely fresh, with a variety of options ranging from simple vegetable rolls to more decadent choices like the veggie dragon roll. I highly recommend trying the veggie dragon roll and a cucumber and avocado roll. The edamame was also a fantastic addition to the meal.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It is family-friendly and the food was amazing. I tried the alligator roll, dragon roll, and baked spicy mussels, all of which were delicious. I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5.
I always ordered sushi, sashimi and rolls platters to go from Niwano Hana. I love the rolls and sushi are very fresh and tasty. There are many varieties dish I will go back to try them. Outstanding place.
