My husband and I had a small wedding with only 26 guests. We were looking for a dinner location with a beautiful view and a multi-course meal, and we were so lucky when we stumbled upon Oak Grain. The staff was so attentive and helped us plan an absolutely perfect evening. The view of Pleasant Lake and Mt Kearsarge was dreamy and each course was delicious and absolutely wonderfully prepared. Both of our families have enjoyed fine dining all over the globe, and every person was impressed with each course and the wine selection. Just an example of how sweet the staff was: I learned that my four-year-old niece had cornered a server and requested “lettuce and cheese” be brought to her table. Thi...

I want to give huge kudos for the staff at Oak Grain. We have a service animal, and they made sure to make us feel equally welcomed as any other guests. Seems like a silly thing to point out, but it sure meant a lot to us. I’m also severely allergic to seafood and the chef made sure not only to exclude all allergens, but to substitute problematic ingredients with equally delicious ones. Didn’t feel like I missed out on anything, absolutely superb. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere, a wonderful visit to NH topped off by a culinary experience. Thank you for making a family weekend that much more special.

Terrible. The worst dining experience of my entire life. The wait staff was incredibly slow and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. It took almost 2.5 hours for us to dine there. All of our food was over cooked. I ordered the steak medium, and it was completely gray and cooked through. When I sent it back, the wait staff had the audacity to argue with me and tell me that my steak was cooked medium. I’ve been ordering steaks for decades and I know what a medium steak should be. Awful service, awful food. Save your time and money and don’t come here.

The staff is really wonderful, friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is ok. I think it would be much nicer in the summer when the lake is in it's full glory. The food was ok and very pricey. My husband and son both ordered the steak special of the day. The meat was very tough and chewy. Not worth the $45/entree. The sage and apple salad was literally a handful of red and green lettuce, sprinkled with some blue cheese and candied nuts, $15). I was expecting either something more hearty or a slightly larger portion. Book a table now

Had two dinners there while staying two nights at the inn. Both were excellent. Wild mushrooms were so good I had them twice. Main course of bluefish was the best I have ever had. Lamb chops next night were delicious. And the accompaniments were perfect. Good choice of wines for the meal. Nice going chef! Oh, and the breakfasts that go with the room were delicious. Perfect start for the day.

We were staying at the inn and had dinner at the Oak and Grain restaurant. The 5 course Price fix meal was delicious! Unique options that delighted our taste buds! And the service was great! Just an overall delightful experience! We will definitely be back again. Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed!

We went to dinner here as a pit stop on the way to Burlington, Vt. Alex was our server and she was absolutely wonderful and very informative. The dishes were unique and she was able to answer any questions we had. It’s got a lovely ambiance! We would absolutely go back again!

Ate here to try it out and it’s on my list of go-tos now. The service was very good, but the food was great!IMO, this blew Pine at the Hanover Inn out of the water.
