This was my first visit to Oceans for breakfast. I was taken to my table by a smiling waitress who immediately took my coffee order. The breakfast me u is interesting and for me, on the expensive side. I selected eggs rancheros - a tough call as the eggs Benedict on Potato fritters also looked good. When the dish arrived I was impressed by the presentation but a little disappointed by the portion size. My doubts disappeared once I tasted the dish, exceptional flavours exploded with each mouthful taken. Wow. Now I was disappointed for another reason for the small portion - I didn't want the experience to end. Naturally the portion size was sufficient and I enjoyed my coffee as the taste of th...

We did a mad dash from the car park across the road in the pouring rain and the first words spoken to us as we scrambled in the front door were "do you have a booking?". Not hi, not welcome, not well done, not how are you?, not can I get you a shami/blow dryer? It also smelt like Nanna's closet in there???? Anyway, we got past this and we were shown to a table. Service from our Nth American waitress was friendly, informative and casual, but we watched lots of other staff fluffing around doing nothing. Thankfully our food came out real quick. For the most, dinner was lovely. My wife's lamb was awesome! With a little fine tuning, this place could be great! We'll come back again next time!
10 family and friends had lunch here recently and could not fault the food or the service. Firstly one of our party is in a wheel chair and although there is no ramp into the restaurant, the staff were all so helpful in getting her in and out of the place and making sure she was comfortable at the end of the table. We had a variety of meals, including Linguine with chilli and prawns, gnocchi, steak sandwiches, lamb salad and fish and chips. All dishes were voted as delicious and good size helpings without being expensive. The restaurant is licensed, so wine available by the glass and bottle. Friendly staff, just topped off a lovely lunch. We will be back.
We were recommended this cafe to try and we weren't disappointed! The coffee was exceptional, as with the food and service. The staff were really friendly and the meals came very quickly! We had the calamari as an entree and the fish and chips as a main. Very nice and fresh and prices very reasonable too. We will certainly be returning the next time we're in the area. Highly recommended! Book a table now
I regularly come to oceans at about 5pm for a late coffee/tea and hot chips with friends. I love the ambiance and warmth of Oceans. The food: breakie, lunch or dinner is very good and usually the coffee is pretty spot on. I have noticed recently that the coffee isn't as good as it used to be. It has been lukewarm and not the best which is unfortunate as this is my favourite spot.
We ventured to this cafe as a group of 5 for a post movie meal, the menu catered for all tastes and sharing dishes, was easily catered for. The tacos are Supberb and are a must have, as are the beef burger and ribs. The servings are large and easily shared, a well priced wine list, friendly staff and efficient service made for a pleasant evening.
Had a lovely breakfast at Oceans. It was a fairly quiet weekday morning and the service was friendly and fast. Bacon and egg rolls were good - could have had a dash more sauce but the egg was runny and there was plenty of bacon! Drinks were nice too. Particularly loved that they will split the bill for you - very convenient.
