We went here for breakfast to celebrate a special age birthday.Were told someone would come to take our order if we found ourselves a seat.We did find a seat.... Only to sit for almost an hour whilst everyone around us who arrived later than us had their order taken. Wasn't impressed but then was interested to see how long it would take to get to us. Another 40 minutes ( so 1hr 20mins after arrival) our order was taken. 2 Serves of Eggs Benedict a green tea and a flat white. We LOVE eggs bene so were excited...... In hindsight I'm unsure why?It took almost an hour (50 mins) for our food to arrive, there was very little bene sauce and eggs were hard poached! Bacon was more like ham steak, not...
I love the Odd Captain and am a regular for coffee, breakfast and lunch. Coffee is the best and quickest in town (for takeaways) with super friendly and efficient service. We've been here for brekkie and lunch with group sizes up to 15 people and can always rely on great service and yum food.
First visit, for breakfast, today. Staff were friendly, efficient and very responsive to requests (coffee a little hotter, etc). Food was varied, not overcooked and very tasty. Coffee was fabulous. Prices were comparable with most other places. We recommend this to anyone. We'll be back.

My friends and I had lunch there. Cauliflower soup was very nice. It was a bit crowded and we had to wait for a table but service was very good.
