We were celebrating our 16 year anniversary at Old City Prime. 3/4 of the way through my salad there was a live bug crawling in my bowl. My husband got up and went to the manager without making a scene, and he said he’d be sure to take care of it. They bring me another salad out and at this point I’ve lost all appetite for the evening. Our meal was room temperature and our waitress only came to our table one time to check on us. Needless to say when our $180 bill came we were far from impressed. I’ve ate there previously 6-7 years ago, to say disappointed is an understatement. I mean I literally had a living creature in my food and they brush it off like oh well
We were celebrating our 20th Anniversary. This was our second visit to this restaurant. Our first visit was 5 star visit. This visit gets one star. The waitress must not like her job. We were never offered more water or ice. We had ice tea slid across the table on the fly by. Our steaks didn't arrive in an hour, guests come and go, people eat who come in after us. The host was asked where our food was and went to look for it. He said he'd take care of it. The waitress came by and had excuses. Saying something about the order being put in. We were there 1 1/2 hours, very disappointed. Never ate our steaks 2 steaks at $44 $88.
Old City Prime is our staple go-to place. We can choose between belly up to the bar or grab a booth. We usually sit at the bar. Nicole takes such good care of us. The food options are amazing and the quality is hard to match. They have a great selection of cocktails and liquors. Wonderful appetizers and entrees. The staff are all amazing and friendly. We love it here. One of our favorites in Lima. It’s a little more expensive than other local restaurants but we feel it’s worth the experience. Desserts are amazing and they have delicious coffees. Sushi tower was so so. The spicy tuna was good, but the rice base was tasteless. My husband had the mushroom ravioli. There were 5 pieces for $32. The broccolini was not good. It was recommended by the waitress, but was overcooked and not seasoned well. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I’m a big a huge fan of a classy steakhouse and this fits the bill! Excellent steaks. Tasty drinks and a looong wine list with very reasonable prices. I get into town a couple times a year and I make it a point to stop in. Very attentive and friendly service.
Wow!! This is our 3rd Anniversary to celebrate at Old City and we always feel like royalty!!! The food is amazing but the service....Scott, the Manager, is the BEST!! You must try this gem in the city!! !
Best restaurant in Lima. Always delicious food, from salad to steaks to any of their special dishes. The chefs here are top notch! You have to check out the atmosphere on both floors of the building.
It's hard to find good prime rib anymore, old City Prime came through, so tender and flavorful. Will go back.
