I chose Old Europe in Washington DC as our provider for an Oktoberfest Client Appreciation Party. Alex was extremely professional and the majority of our communication was done by email. It has combined a wonderful selection of authentic German dishes. The Schnitzel was a hit and our customers fell in love with this quintessential German court. The Laugen Pretzels were soft and buttery. The Sauerkraut and the Senftrio were a big hit. The house made potato salad was fantastic. It remained cold through the event. I enjoyed eating in the Old Europe restaurant several times over the years. I love the selection of authentic German dishes presented in and old Europe atmosphere. The food is delicious and the beer selection is excellent. I was disappointed that the restaurant was completely empty during our visit, maybe because we were early. You need to work on food presentation and we found that pepper steak was very fat. Otherwise, the restaurant is a fun place to pass an evening and surprisingly authentic.
Although I have friends visiting Old Europe, I finally made it with my friends. All I can say is Wow! This place was fantastic. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere is on site. Since we had a large group ~15), the service was missing something at the end, but overall good. Definitely recommend in smaller groups in the future. Oh and get the Ocktoberfest beer! And dessert... Oh, my God. I had the German chocolate. Absolutely wonderful. Very recommended, will return again!
The environment is great, small, cute and friendly. Feel welcome. The food was delicious, only Schnitzel was a bit dry, but still tasted so good. The staff was really nice and friendly. In any case visit and try other dishes!
