This is a classic diner run by an adorable mom-and-pop team. They serve some of the best burgers in town for under five dollars. It’s the type of place where you can contribute to the local kids' little league team, catch up on city council gossip, and enjoy a delicious meal all at once. There’s a good chance they’ll remember your name and ask about your family on your next visit. When I retire, I envision spending my afternoons at a place just like this, sitting at the counter and enjoying the atmosphere.
I had a lovely weekday afternoon lunch with my son. Although it was a bit quiet, the service was fantastic—very attentive. The food was outstanding; I enjoyed a spicy burger seasoned with Cajun spices, and the fries were hot and tasty. My son ordered a burger too and was very pleased with it. We had a great time chatting with the other patrons as well. I definitely recommend this place, and we plan to come back. It had been over 10 years since my last visit, and it was wonderful to see it again!
This charming little family restaurant is fantastic! My son and I enjoyed lunch here, and it was excellent. The menu offers a wide variety of options. I ordered the double trouble, and it was delicious! My son had the hamburger and couldn't stop praising it. If you haven't tried this place yet, I highly recommend you do. You won't be disappointed!
35 yrs in business and learned 8.30.21 the business is up for sale. Had my breakfast ordered and took to bed at local hotel. This place is one of very few to still serve good ol fashioned mom pop breakfast. The food is great and atmosphere was nice . I will be sure to get my breakfast next time in covington KY for sure!

I took a trip to Covington today because my friend Lisa needed to get her oil changed, and I had a great idea: let's check out Frank's Old Town Cafe! I used to work in Covington, and it was practically my go-to spot for lunch every day. The staff there is incredibly friendly, and I haven't visited in a while.
My daughter and I enjoyed breakfast food, and my son and husband had lunch. Great location, friendly owners, and food was delish .. and prices very reasonable. Definitely recommend!
