Completely mental!! This man who had curly hair was yelling and throwing stuff behind the cafe at staff and the floor. Seemed abit old to be a staff, i think it was the boss (out of uniform). What a way to lead a team for your own cafe, yet alone represent a franchise with a name for themselves. I will contact the head office and report my experience. What a terrible atmosphere! How sad how one person could change a cafe completely. Top Ryde Oliver brown was so good and to bring in an ABSOLUTE PSYCHOPATHIC MANIAC into the franchise to ruin the brand name! DISGUSTING! Didnt know if i was dinking coffee through my mouth or nose....
Oliver Brown is never one to overly impress but they are convenient. When all the other cafes in Eastwood start closing up, OB is there to welcome you with open arms. The Eastwood branch is one up other outlets purely for the size. You can sit ground level, go upstairs, or towards the back where smoking is allowed.
The somewhat more reliable choice would be a waffle and I personally enjoy a pink lemonade with it. I always found their crushes to be quite flavourless and far too watery/icy. And definitely most things are overpriced for sure. But like I said, they’re easy and you may not have many other options around.
I've been to Oliver Brown soo many times and at soo many different moments of the day: great for a special breakfast, awsome for a sweet afternoon snack and perfect for a dessert after dinner. I have to agree with the other reviwes written before me and say that it is a little too over priced, but most of the cafes similar to Oliver Brown have all the same prices so it's probably more of a general problem.. The location is cute, pretty big with the possibility of sitting outdoors.
I had terrible experience where the person who seemed to be the boss of the branch shouting at the staffs constantly the entire time I was there. It was very very uncomfortable. Since the branch mamager changed in Eastwood, it has been quite awfull. It is such a shame to see a good cafe becoming like that.
Fondue isn't bad but compared to Max Brenner at Macquarie, it isn't as impressive.

Churro is pretty good although inconsistent, once the churro was made to order which was very good but another time it was pre made and a bit cold/stale so poitlnts lost there

For a wind dow after korean bbq and a chat its not bad but also not the best food wise
went here at night to get some study done with my friends. although the place has reliable opening hours, the music was unbearably loud. couldn't concentrate let alone make conversation with my friend. the hot chocolates are killer, however the environment of the cafe was utterly terrible.
I like Eastwood's Oliver Brown for the atmosphere and size. Definitely a great place to wind down. Their waffles were a let down, in comparison to the ones I've had at other OB branches. No cream, lacking chocolate, little strawberries. It was a let down.

A really convenient dessert cafe in the local neighborhood that is open late, the desserts are pretty good but a little overpriced for my liking.
