Been coming to this place for many years before it changed owners because Chinese restaurants are quite limited in the Surrey area. They renovated it a little here and there and changed the menu. They took away the elevated level and turned it into a complete open concept to make it brighter and more spacious, still a pretty casual ambiance feel. I believe the new owner kept some of the previous staffs and the service improved a little; the new owner is very friendly, attentive and engaging with the customers. Second time here, wanted to give it a second chance. (White Rock) We ordered the Combo A with Chix Chow Mein to go. The Cow Mein was probably the best but even that had dry portions. The Beef and Broccoli was almost uneatable due to the garlic. I Love garlic and this was way too much for even me. It was so strong we had to leave the lid on it to keep the smell under control. The Sweet and Sour Pork was just ok. The sauce was good but the pork was tough. The Fried Wontons were just a complete waste. Touch them and they crumble to dust and the meat inside was all but impossible to find. The Spring Rolls were good but nothing to dip them in. All of that and very for take out!
They've renovated the place since the last time I went and the ambiance was more pleasing. The food was good and the service was normal.
Ordered take out. Bbq pork fried rice. You can barely see the pork or taste it. Peas and eggs you can clearly see. Not worth it.
