I'm really disappointed! I had high expectations for my birthday dinner and made a reservation for 7:30 PM on a Saturday night. When we arrived, the restaurant was about three-quarters full and we were seated right on time. However, we had to wait until 7:41 to be greeted by our server, which felt like an eternity. After 11 long minutes of waiting, we almost decided to leave when she finally arrived. She took our drink order and mentioned she would bring some bread, but we didn't receive our drinks until 7:55. It was quite frustrating…
I’m really disappointed that Happy Hour is now just from 4 to 5 PM instead of 4 to 6 PM. The fantastic food selection during Happy Hour has been cut down, and now there’s only charcuterie available—no more oysters, meatballs, shrimp baguette, and other favorites. After years of visiting Opals, I think it’s time to find a new Happy Hour spot!
Very good food served in a timely manner. Loved the crab salad and the steak. Sadly due to staffing issues you could not order pasta,charcuterie,or oysters. The waiter was okay m, not very attentive… I think he was bummed we were not drinking alcohol lol. Def check this place out. I can’t wait to try a charcuterie.
Amazing amazing food. Awesome happy hour. Wonderful team members helping with a smile. One of my favorite local places in Mt Pleasant and all of Charleston. Crazy amazing prices and incredible value!! A must on your list of restaurants!

The food was fantastic, but the service was incredibly slow—it took 20 minutes just to get a glass of ice. If I had been paying, I probably would have left. If you go, plan to have your dinner and finish it by breakfast!
The food was delicious, but you're better off paying cash here to avoid a 3.50% CC fee tax was 10% btw.
Opal gets better and better with every visit! Will never disappoint!
