Was told 45 minutes and arrived in 40 expecting to wait a few minutes but waited another 45 min.All three times the food quality was not good to put it nicely. I've gone here for years thought it was the best place in Brantford for Chinese food. This past year the service has gone down hill, and the take out is always slow. They give you a time and it's always not ready and you end up waiting an extra 15 or 20 min. We dined in once over this past year and were disappointed with the service as well, I always used to be happy with this restaurant not sure what has happened. We tried again this past weekend and again disappointed so out once every two month visit will now be once every 6 months maybe.
I have been enjoying food from this restaurant since I was a small child. The food is ALWAYS fresh, made to order and much of the stir fry sauces and soy sauce are gluten free, which is a huge bonus for those with allergies and sensitivities, although they don't advertise it.This is my favourite restaurant in Brantford, where I'm treated like family. I recommend it to everyone I meet. The eggs rolls are to die for and so is the almond soo guy. My personal favourite is the beef with broccoli.
Called for delivery and were advised it would be 30-minutes. After 45-minutes called again to find out status, they said it was coming. Half an hour later called again to no avail. Food finally arrived after a 2-hour wait. It was still warm and tasted fine, but the wait took all the enjoyment out of the evening.If you really want to eat soon, don't call this place.

This restaurant is located in the north part of the downtown in Brantford and is one of the hidden gems of the city. Decor is nice with a pleasant ambiance. The food is great and the service is very good as well. A great place to meet or to socialize. They also do a great take-out business.
New to brantford Googled best Chinese in brantford and this is where it took me . I must say I can't argue the prices and the food is great . Not to mention the staff are top notch very quick and professional .no need to look else where I'll be coming back for sure .
The food here is great, bit take-out times are unreliable - have waited a few time more than 20 minutes after the scheduled time. When raising the issue - staff just blames the kitchen for inaccuracies - no accountability. The food is good though.
Every time I place a take out order, the wait time is ridiculous. To make matters worse, the past 2 take out orders have been awful. Overcooked and arrived cold. They are officially off my list of places to get take out from.

I've been to The Oriental a number of times & once again we had a tasty meal. Our server was attentive & friendly despite the only one serving that evening. The owner is very pleasant. A popular place for lunch.
I have gone here on several date-nights. The food is of excellent quality and is always cooked very well. The staff are always friendly. Sometimes wait times are a little long for take-out and eat-in.
