My husband, daughter, her friend and I went to this location because we wanted to enjoy a good chili cheese burger. We walked in at approximately 10:15 with not a single customer in front of us. As we approached the register I noticed a female with short hair look at us and roll her eyes. We waited approximately 3 minutes before a tall guy with glasses walked up laughing and asked us what we wanted to order. Because of the attitude that she had I asked him what time they close done in. He said 11. So I began to place our order. I placed it for the three people I was with and when I was ready to place mine, I asked him what was in a grilled cheese. He advised it was only the cheese and bread....
This restaurant has the worst food and service I've ever experienced. I visited yesterday and ordered a Caliente chili cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, and a drink, along with an additional chili burger. When I got home, I was appalled by what I found. The chili was dry and burnt, and my Caliente chili cheeseburger had no cheese, despite my specific inquiry at the drive-thru about it! The employee assured me it had cheese. The chili cheese fries were terrible as well, with a large mound of burnt chili sauce on top and absolutely no cheese! It seems that people either love or dislike Tommy's, but I'm definitely in the love camp. Their chili is amazing! This particular location is one of the newer ones, and I find it to be clean and welcoming. There's also a lovely outdoor seating area. I've never had any issues with their service, although it can take some time during busy drive-thru hours. My personal favorites are the chili tamale and the breakfast burrito, and the best part is you can get breakfast at any time! While the prices are a bit on the high side, I recommend following them on social media (YouTube, Instagram, etc.) to catch their specials, which offer great deals.
The staff at the La Mirada location failed to honor the Facebook ad. I posted twice and corporate failed to make it right or even respond. I've been a loyal customer since I could drive and still advertise the chain by buying their t shirts, but I'll think twice before choosing to eat there in the future.Food: 1/5

I grew up enjoying Tommy's and cheering for the Dodgers, both of which were highlights of my childhood. The original location in LA is still around, and you can catch a hint of that charm at the Industry location. I was supposed to be on a diet, but I just couldn't resist. Of course, I'll be back!

Can never go wrong with their chili cheese fries with onions and a lot of peppers on the side. Their chili tamales are also delicious.
