we met a few more here to dinner on a Saturday night. we had reservations and sat right in front of this little restaurant. it was a cold february night and was grateful for the heavy curtain at the entrance, which was a decent task to keep cold Scottish air from flooding the place. our server could have been new on the job. we felt haste to order. when we decided not to order any appetizers, our little tellers were taken away, at the moment later a basket delicious brot came on the table without telling. I just got back from Italy and honestly this restaurant is nothing like what I experienced there. So overpriced and not authentic Italian food, even if the ingredients are somewhat traditional to Italian menus. I ordered a pasta and received a dish more similar to chili, with what was basically like a flavored broth with meat, (extremely overcooked) pasta, and a little cheese. I'm well aware sauces can be thin, but that watery? Why did you put on so little cheese when that would have thickened the sauce The noodles barely had any flavor, and nothing clung to them. the most wonderful experience of all time. they were so kind to help my friends find ideal items for their nutritional needs, and two of us had the untilon short rib tortellini, which was excellent! I love the little intimate experience this restaurant offers. each of its desserts is a great opportunity to end its culinary experience. if they have the opportunity to try the house made limoncello!
cocktails and eating were fantastic, and we appreciate the cozy, relaxed atmosphere. we had the antelope (antelope) and coda di bue (oxtail stew) from the special menu and the cinghiale (wild boar ragout) from the main menu. the food was delicious and the portions were perfect for a good price. recommend osteria papavero
