Came here a few weeks back, with some friends who we had not seen for a while, we were seated and immediately bombarded several times from different waiters about what drinks we wanted and What food… we had barely said hello to each other let alone picked up the menus. This happened for the next five minutes until we had to stop talking and order as quickly as possible, we hadn’t even put our menus down when a brash waiter stood right over us while my friends were still deciding, interrupting their discussion on what to get. We booked an outside table but the weather was not good so we rang earlier in the day to ask to be seated inside. They said there was no booking at all. Anyway eventually he said it was ok and yes no problem with a table inside. When we arrived they had no available tables at all. Told us we could wait outside. We said no we had booked and you had said yes it was ok so the table should’ve been available. The manager then said do what you like and walked away. Another waiter moved someone else and we got a table. In this day and age you would think customer service would be so important. This manager was so rude like he couldn’t care less. I haven't visited this restaurant in a while due to poor service in the past. Unfortunately, it seems that the service has only gotten worse. The waiter got our order wrong and then rudely blamed us for it. He was unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. When we all ordered pasta, he questioned my choice in a rude manner. Additionally, he cleared my drink before I had finished it. To make matters worse, this was the same waiter that served us during our previous visit. I can't believe he is still employed there. Despite the mediocre food, I have had better experiences elsewhere.
I had a meal last night on Saturday night for my birthday at the best restaurant in Hove, which is of course Italian. The staff were brilliant and even sang happy birthday to me. Nothing was a problem as always, and I enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden on a warm evening. Well done Otello, you're always my favorite place. Thank you.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I called a few months in advance to make a reservation and they were very accommodating as I added more guests. I didn't even have to pay a deposit, which I appreciated. The staff was kind and considerate, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend this place. Thank you!
The food, the service, the portions!! We ended up here on a whim and I’m so glad we did. The staff were so accommodating and couldn’t do enough for you, the food was fantastic and the portions were so big that we had to take half home for lunch the next day!!
Stayed in Brighton this weekend so came here for dinner on Saturday evening and was amazing. Polite and friendly staff and food is delicious, with plentiful portions. Would definitely recommend and will return when I visit Brighton again.
Great restaurant. Really family friendly, LOVELY food, friendly and efficient staff, came for a meal for my birthday and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Very reasonable prices too. Highly recommend, I’ll be back.
